Serving a vital role in the planning and execution of Cascadia’s Costa Rica and Alaska operations, Sean Kelly is a man with a plan. His experience leading Southeast Alaska canoe trips for up to fifty days at a time have given him the know-how and the eye for detail that make him such an effective course instructor. Sean may have been “born on a couch in south Chicago” but his knowledge of language, music, and global culture tune him up to present quite a number. In fact his B.A. from the University of Illinois was in Music Composition and Theory. He has traveled independently and self-guided expeditions in India, South Korea, South and Central America and across the U.S. You very well might catch him singing an Irish folk song during dinner prep, or reciting Sanskrit incantations while rock climbing. As a member of AmeriCorps’ Northwest Service Academy, Sean brought the kind of drive and intelligence that got him hand selected to participate in Cascadia’s development team. He is a stellar guy and a blessing to learn from.
